Prescott Entertainment is an award-winning wedding DJ and entertainment company based in West Somerset, providing modern DJ and event services across Somerset, Devon, Dorset and the South West. We specialise in creating wedding parties that feel personal, fun and full of energy. Rather than set routines or fixed playlists, we focus on understanding you, your music taste and the kind of atmosphere you want, then shaping the night around that and keeping everything flowing naturally.
Our DJs are experienced, professional and confident behind the scenes, knowing when to guide the night and when to step back. The result is a great atmosphere, a busy dance floor and a night that feels effortless rather than forced. Alongside our popular DJ service, we offer a bespoke range of optional extras including live saxophone, dance floors, all day hosting and silent disco, all designed to make your party one to remember.

From the moment you first enquire you’ll be looked after by Ben (General Manager) and Andrew (Operations Manager), who are your main points of contact throughout the planning process. We’re on hand to answer questions, offer guidance where needed and make sure everything fits your vision.
Ben and Andrew work closely with our handpicked team of Somerset-based DJs, ensuring your DJ is fully briefed on your music preferences, timings and any specific requests before the event. You’re also welcome to request a particular DJ from the team if you have someone in mind.
We’re not an agency. Our DJs are chosen carefully to reflect the values we stand for — professional, experienced and easy to work with. By building an excellent relationship with you beforehand, we’re able to deliver a service that feels personal, well organised and completely tailored to your celebration.
FAQs
What’s your DJ style on the night?
Our approach is relaxed, professional and music-led. We focus on reading the room, keeping the dance floor flowing and letting the night build naturally. We guide things where needed, but we don’t take over or make the night about us. This is your party and we want the performance to reflect the music and vibes you love.
How involved are you on the microphone?
We use the microphone when it adds value — for introductions, key moments and keeping things running smoothly. Beyond that, we let the music do the talking. Most couples want a great atmosphere without constant interruptions, and that’s exactly what we aim for.
Can we give you song requests and a ‘do not play’ list?
Yes and we actively encourage it. Before your wedding, we’ll ask for your must-play tracks and anything you’d prefer not to hear. This helps shape the night around your taste, while still giving us the flexibility to read the room and keep the dance floor flowing. It’s your party, and the music should reflect that. When booking with us you’ll receive a music template where you can fill out all of your music requests.
Do you use set playlists or pre-planned routines?
No, every wedding is different. We work around your music taste and the kind of atmosphere you want, then adapt in real time based on what’s working on the night. That’s how we keep things feeling personal and natural rather than forced.
Can you handle high-energy parties as well as more relaxed weddings?
Absolutely. Whether your night builds into a full-on rave or stays more laid-back, our job is to support the vibe you want. We’re experienced in managing high-energy moments confidently and professionally, while keeping everything comfortable and under control.
How do you make sure the night feels right for our guests?
It comes down to experience, timing and reading the room. We pay close attention to the energy on the dance floor and adjust as the night unfolds, so everyone feels included and the atmosphere stays enjoyable from start to finish.
Do you offer additional services, such as lighting and photo booths?
We can supply a number of extra services including Live Saxophone, Venue Uplighting, Photo Booths, Dance Floors, and Silent Disco Hire. Our extra services can be combined with our DJ Services to form unique packages tailored to you.
How much do you charge?
We operate on an individual quote basis. For a free quote please fill out our contact form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes. We hold Public Liability Insurance of up to £10 Million and Professional Indemnity of up to £1 Million. A copy of our Public Liability Insurance can be provided on request. Most venues will not allow DJs or musicians to play unless they are Public Liability Insured. All of our equipment is also PAT Tested and all certificates are available upon request.
How far in advance do I need to book?
It’s up to you how early or late you book with Prescott Entertainment. We do however advise potential customers to book sooner, rather than later - especially in the summer months. We have a limited number of dates available and they are booked on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Our busiest months of the year are April, June, July, August, September and December.
